We donated artificial grass for the animals at Stapeley Grange RSPCA Centre!

We’ve all heard of the RSPCA, but what we might not have heard of Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre. Founded in 1994, this large charitable ground offers a home to 6,500 wild, domestic and exotic wounded animals every year. Not only this, but they also home an additional 250 cats that have been abandoned into their cattery.

Stapeley Grange goes above and beyond to ensure that the animals they care for can live a carefree, happy life away from pain and suffering, which is why when they asked for our help, we were more than thrilled to jump at the opportunity.

We have previously supported RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre, back in 2015 when Lee Stewart, the centre manager, reached out to us again we were more than happy to help in any way that we could to ensure they’re able continue their amazing work. In 2022, Lee contacted us again, asking if we could donate more artificial grass as the grass from 2015 needed replacing. We were obviously more than happy to oblige, as we love to help where we can!

They needed grass for 2 of their pools. The first lot of grass was for ducks, geese, swans and domestic birds. The second lot is for goslings, ducks and seals. The grass we used had to be specific to the well-being of the animals, we used our 14mm golf grass as the pile is texturized and does not have grass strands making it extra safe for the bird’s feet.

They have also been able to use the donated grass to create perches for birds of prey and owls. It’s also used inside the hutches for ducklings and hedgehogs… It gets cuter… they have also used it outside of the pools to help the birds get in and out of the ponds safer and more easily.

We hope the animals enjoy their soft and safe surroundings which closely resemble and feel like real grass, short of the danger of infections and wounds. Stapeley Grange is available to help with wildlife emergencies 8am to 8pm, you can find out more or contact them through their Facebook page. If you are looking for artificial grass for birds, duck houses or ponds, then contact us! We’d be more than happy to help!
