Bespoke putting green install

This customer came to us with an idea for his garden and knew we’d be able to pull it off. He wanted his own personal artificial putting green in his garden. We came to survey the area, and we instantly knew we could create an amazing golf space for this homeowner to enjoy.

With one of our largest garden-to-golf transformations to date, we had to bring out the heavy machinery to get the area ready for its new purpose. We hired diggers and dumpers from MKM to tackle this job. They had the extra equipment that we needed to get the job done.

This part was a challenge as we needed to get the heavy equipment over a patio without damaging it. We put up ramps and boards to ensure no damage was done to the patio, giving the customer peace of mind whilst the work was being done.

Once we had all the top layers removed the installation of the baseworks could begin. Creating the layers for this installation was important. It had to be extremely level, ensuring nothing would negatively impact the owners putting. We needed to make the area as flat and level as possible which our highly experienced teams were able to execute.

It’s now time to lay the grass and turn this space into an amazing putting green that this customer can enjoy for years to come (and hopefully help with the handicap).

Finishing off, we brought this homeowner’s dream to a reality. Installing a 6-hole putting green, to transform this garden into a space he can enjoy for years. If you love golf this could be a great way to practice and give a unique talking point to your garden.

The area was split into (5 holes and 1 hole) to be able to chip from one section to another, letting them practice both chipping and putting, all in the comfort of his own home!

We used our 14mm pile of golf grass for this golf installation with an Oakmere 35mm pile fringe around the area. In total, this 220 sqm area install took 10 days to complete, by two of our expert installers.
